Russian fighter jets bombing Kharkov. That eerie, escalating whistle in the night sky, the machine hurling death at random. The blows to neighboring houses and entrances, fires, destroyed homes, destinies, lives, dogs and cats scurrying in the streets, children crying, old women crying from basements.

Could it be that all this is happening in Ukraine and to its people, who lived and worked peacefully, who never threatened anyone and were never going to attack or fight anyone, but who now have to defend themselves against an enemy neighbor who called us brotherly people. It's impossible to believe it or imagine it in a scary dream.... But it turns out it's all real and true.
